Update on Prestige Group's Forum-Vijaya Mall
Prestige Group's Forum-Vijaya Mall is coming up next to Green Park hotel in Vadapalani. It is one of the nearest shopping mall to Gerugambakkam.
It will be built on eight acres of land.
It will house nine-screen multiplex run by Satyam cinemas.
It will have more than 100 shops and around 10 restaurants.
It will also house a 8,000 sq ft Lifestyle showroom.
It will house 50,000 sq ft RMKV showroom.
It will have Chennai's biggest Hyper market — Star Bazaar — on an area of 1 lakh sq ft.
Apart from the restaurants, the mall will also have a 500-seat food court with 15 kitchens.
For the gaming enthusiast, the Forum mall will have an arcade.
The multi-level parking facility at the mall can accommodate about 2,500 cars and 3,000 two-wheelers. The mall will have two entry and exit gates, with access from Arcot Road and Jawaharlal Nehru Road. It will also help address the problem of traffic congestion. Mr. Mohammad Ali, GM, Forum mall said: “Today, people want everything at one place. A shopping mall with a multiplex is the best answer.”

Anjaneya Statue erected in Gerugamabakkam by Actor Arjun
On 07th April 2012, in actor Arjun’s garden at Gerugambakkam, Chennai, the Anjaneya statue was erected. The Anjaneya statue is 28 feet in height and weighing 143 tons. It is the one of the tallest Anjaneya in the world on this position.
Actor Arjun said during this occasion, that the construction of the temple will be completed in a year of time.
