Accessing the Chennai Outer Ring Road from Gerugambakkam

Outer Ring Road (ORR )  is of length 62.3 km connects

  1. Grand Southern Trunk Road - GST, NH45 ( Trichi Highway ) at Vandalur
  2. Grand Western Trunk Road - GWT, NH4  ( Bangalore Highway) at Nazarathpet near Poonamalli
  3. Chennai Tiruvallur High Road - CTH, NH 205  ( Tirupathi, Anantapur Highway )at Nemilichery near Pattabiram, Ambattur
  4. Grand Northern Trunk Road – GNT, NH5 ( Calcutta Highway )  at Padayanallur
  5. Tiruvottiyur Ponneri Panjetty -TPP road at Minjur 

The configuration of the alignment comprises of dual system of both road and rail corridor in a width of 72m. 
50 m. wide portion of land is reserved for future developments.

This road come closer to Madha Engineering College in Kundrathur. The construction of fly-over for the Sriperumpudur Road crossing this ORR, is going on. This is hardly 8 kms from Gerugambakkam. It will open up further access to major highway of Chennai, apart from the existing Chennai Bye-pass.

So from Porur we can access the Chennai Bye-Pass Road
From Kundrathur we can access the Chennai Outer Ring Road.
